Cathedral of electricity

The industrial monument “Umspannwerk Reinickendorf”, built in 1926, was designed by Hans Heinrich Müller and today counts as a showpiece of the industrial architecture of the interwar period. Müller admired the medieval Marienburg, whose influence in terms of formal language and detail education varied widely visible in almost all buildings Muller. With a great flair for details, he oriented himself to the Brandenburg brick Gothic. The building has 6000 m2 of exhibition space on 4 levels and a huge cellar vault.
